2/4: Soroptimists
The local Soroptimists held their March meeting at Cavendish Golf Club. where members learned of the work being carried out by the Crossroads charity group, caring for people of all ages.
2/4: Police in Tideswell
The police safer neighbourhoods team will hold a street meeting at Tideswell Sports Complex on Tuesday April 9th from 1pm to 2pm.

1/3: Women's celebration
In support of International Women's Day, Rural Action Derbyshire will be hosting a celebratory event at Bakewell Agricultural Centre on March 11th from 10am to noon. Organisers say there is no need to book, just turn up.
4/3: Mayoral candidates
Business Peak District and Visit Peak District are organising an opportunity to meet the four candidates for East Midlands Combined Authority mayor, at Cromford Mills, Matlock on March 13th. Register at businesspeakdistrict.com/events.

1/2: Meet the chief executive
A new series of Peak District road shows will give people the opportunity to share their views with Phil Mulligan, chief executive of the National Park Authority. The first session is scheduled for Castleton Visitor Centre on February 14th, starting at 2.30pm. There is no need to book.
2/2: Affected by recent flooding?
The Environment Agency, in partnership with Derbyshire County Council, is holding a community open drop-in session on February 24th at the Peveril Centre in Castleton, 2pm to 7pm, to discuss concerns and give advice concerning recent flooding,
5/2: Death of Ken Munns
Sadly, the oldest of The Village Voice delivery Teamsters, 97-year-old Ken Munns, has passed away. It is understood the funeral will be on Tuesday February 13th.
6/2: Police at Millers Dale
Police officers from the safer neighbourhood team will be available to meet members of the public at the Millers Dale station refreshment room on Friday February 9th between 10am and 11am.
6/2: Health and social care jobs
Joined Up Care Derbyshire's careers service is planning an online application and interview workshop for health and social care jobs on the morning of Tuesday February 13th. Full information from ddicb.joinedupcareers@nhs.net.

2/1: Safer neighbourhood sessions
Members of Derbyshire Constabulary's safer neighbourhood team will be at the Sports Complex in Tideswell for public consultation on Friday January 5th from 10am to 11am. They expect to move on to Eyam Church Centre on Friday 12th, 11am to noon.
2/1: Sahara Desert challenge
Blythe House Hospicecare and Helen's Trust will be hosting a Moroccan Sahara Desert fundraiser in March and there is to be an information session at the Chapel-en-le-Frith care centre on January 25th from 7pm, more information on events@blythehouse.co.uk.
5/1: Meet the Funder
Derbyshire Dales Council for Voluntary Service is organising a "Meet the Funder" online Zoom session with Sue Heyes, Severn Trent community fund officer, on Wednesday January 21st from 10am.
